2021 TACONIC RANGERS 7th-8th Grade FALL PROSPECT PROGRAM-
Open to all area rising 7th-8th Grade players in the Fall of 2021 (2026 and 2027 Graduates)
The 7th-8th Grade Taconic Rangers Fall Prospect Program will be directed by former NY Met Minor Leaguer and current Taconic Rangers North Program Director, Al Hammell.
-We will use the 7th-8th Grade Fall Prospect Program to evaluate interested players to help us develop our 13U and 14U level rosters for the Summer of 2022.
-The 7th-8th Grade Fall Prospect Program will consist of 5 Wednesday Nights "Under the Lights"- 3 hour tryout session from 6:00pm-9:00pm including a workout practice time and Red/Blue Rangers simulated game play each week. Held at Kristi Babcock Memorial Park, 660 Mt. Airy Rd., New Windsor, NY 12533.
-The 7th-8th Grade Fall Prospect Program will also include 5 weeks of Tuesday-Thursday evening (6pm/7pm) performance and strength/agility training sessions at NORTHSTAR SPORTS with professional NorthStar trainers.
-We will also provide Rapsodo and Blast Motion Hitting/Pitching metrics to all participating players to assist in tracking player development.
-Players will be broken into groups by age and ability.
- Wednesday night sessions will be 3 hours and will include a player development workout session and then we will transition to Red/Blue Rangers simulated game play with pitchers throwing live sets to hitters to be evaluated by the Taconic Rangers Coaching Staff.
- Tuesday/Thursday evening sessions will be 1 hour performance and strength/agility workouts held in two separate time slots (6pm or 7pm) for 5 weeks (10 sessions in total) at NORTHSTAR SPORTS 66 Page Park Drive, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. All players/pitchers will be provided with their baseline physical strength and agility metrics as well as their baseline Hitting/Pitching RAPSODO and BLAST MOTION metrics to be utilized to track hitter/pitcher progress as we prepare for our 4 MONTH WINTER WORKOUT PROGRAM at NorthStar Sports beginning in November. We are excited about our partnership with NorthStar Sports and the use of these performance metrics to enhance our Taconic Rangers player development program.
-Spots in the 2021 Taconic Rangers 7th-8th Grade Fall Prospect Program will be LIMITED at each position and will be given on a first-come/first-served basis once a player is accepted into the program. Current Taconic Rangers players get first opportunity to enroll.

-There will be no partial registrations, no refunds, and makes-up dates will be announced in the case of inclement weather.
-Please understand that your participation in the Fall Prospect Program DOES NOT guarantee you a spot on a 2022 Taconic Rangers summer roster.
-For the Fall Program, positional play time, batting order placement, and innings pitched during the weekly workouts and Red/Blue game play will be based on ability and performance as evaluated by the Taconic Rangers coaching staff.
-Please understand that some players may be designated as "Pitcher Only" during the Sunday fall weekly game play and for tournament play. These players will still be able to participate in the weekly workouts as a position players if they so choose. We will work to give all players a fair shot at each position and on the mound to show what they can do during the Fall Program.
-The player fee for the 7th-8th Grade Fall Prospect Program is $450. ($450 non-refundable payment is due with registration to secure your spot. Spots will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.) Payment includes- 5 Wednesday Night 3hr baseball sessions; 10 Tuesday-Thursday NorthStar performance strength/agility training sessions; the Rapsodo and Blast Motion baseball metric measurements; a Rangers jersey, hat, and belt. Players will provide their own gray baseball pants, catcher's gear, and batting helmets.
*Please be sure you have read all of the information above and consider all of these factors carefully as you decide whether or not this is the program for you for this fall season. If you have any questions regarding the structure of the program please call and ask those questions BEFORE committing to the program. Only program credit will be given should your player does not participate.
