2022 High School Fall Program Information
TACONIC RANGERS HIGH SCHOOL FALL 2022 COLLEGE CAMPUS SHOWCASE AND TRYOUT PROGRAM-
Open to any area High School baseball players who are interested in playing COLLEGE BASEBALL and who are interested in joining the TACONIC RANGERS ORGANZATION for the Summer of 2023.
SUMMER 2023 TACONIC RANGERS NORTH TEAM ROSTERS WILL BE SET OUT OF THIS PROGRAM!
The TACONIC RANGERS High School 2022 COLLEGE CAMPUS SHOWCASE AND TRYOUT PROGRAM will be directed by former NY Mets Minor Leaguer and Taconic Rangers North Baseball Program Director, Al Hammell and the Taconic Rangers Coaching Staff.
The TACONIC RANGERS High school FALL 2022 COLLEGE CAMPUS SHOWCASE AND TRYOUT PROGRAM is designed to offer a flexible/common-sense fall program for players and families during the busy fall season that will get players onto regional college campuses to be evaluated by college coaches and to be evaluated for the TACONIC RANGERS NORTH team showcase rosters for the Summer of 2023.
The Fall Program will consist of:
- 5 Sunday Fall College Campus Showcase And Tryout Sessions.
- 5 Saturday Open Baseball Workout Sessions.
- Weeknight Strength and Agility Baseball Specific Training Sessions with professional trainers.
- Optional Tournament play on Labor Day and Columbus Day Weekends
The Division I Colleges that have been visited in the past for Sunday College Campus Showcase workouts:
Fairfield University, St. John's University, Siena College, Marist College, Stony Brook University, LeHigh University, Farliegh Dickinson University, Sacred Heart University, Army West Point.
The baseball showcase sessions on the campuses will last approximately 3.0-3.5 hours each Sunday and will be attended by a coach from the school we are attending. We will also be inviting area D2 and D3 schools to the workouts this year. Each session will include a player development hitting and fielding workout session and then we will transition to Red/Blue Taconic Rangers game play with pitchers throwing live sets of at bats to hitters with coaches present at the campus being visited.
-Spots in the TACONIC RANGERS High school FALL 2022 COLLEGE CAMPUS SHOWCASE AND TRYOUT PROGRAM will be limited at each position and will be given out on a first-come/first-served basis once a player is accepted into the fall program. Current Taconic Rangers players will get first opportunity to enroll.
FALL 2022 Dates and TENTATIVE Campus Showcase Sites:
Sunday, September 11- Marist College Workout Times TBA
Sunday, September 25- Fairfield University Workout Times TBA
Sunday, October 2- St. John's University Workout Times TBA
Sunday, October 16- Dutchess CC (With Regional D1, D2, D3 schools invited) Workout Times TBA
-There will be no partial registrations and no refunds. Make-up dates will be attempted but cannot be gauranteed in the case of inclement weather.
-Please understand that your participation in the Fall Program DOES NOT guarantee you a spot on a Summer 2023 Taconic Rangers roster.
-For the Fall Program, positional play-time, batting order placement, and innings pitched during the weekly workouts and Red/Blue game play will be based on ability and performance as evaluated by the Taconic Rangers coaching staff.
-Please understand that based on staff evaluation, some players may be designated as "Pitcher Only" during the Sunday weekly Red/Blue game play and for tournament event play. These players will still be able to participate in the weekly workouts as a position player if they so choose. We will work to give all players a fair shot at each position and on the mound to show what they can do during the Fall Program.
-The player fee for the TACONIC RANGERS High School FALL 2022 COLLEGE CAMPUS SHOWCASE AND TRYOUT PROGRAM:
($425 non-refundable deposit due to secure your spot; Final balance will be due before the 1st Fall Sunday Session.)
This payment includes:
5 Sunday College Campus Showcase Days; 12 Weeknight Baseball Specific Training Sessions; 5 Saturday Open Baseball Workout Sessions; a Rangers jersey, hat, and belt. Players will provide their own gray baseball pants, catcher's gear, and batting helmets.
*Please be sure to have read all of the information above and consider all of these factors carefully as you decide whether or not this is the program for you for this fall season. If you have any questions regarding the structure of the program, please call and ask those questions BEFORE committing to the program. Only program credit will be given should any player not participate for any reason, no refunds will be issued.
