DBI Offers Local Youth Travel Teams Indoor Facility Usage Opportunities

8U-12U:

Dutchess Baseball Initiative promotes the idea of a travel structure at the 8u-12u level that promotes a focus on player participation in their Community Based Leagues and All-Star programs FIRST.

Therefore, the Dutchess Baseball Initiative does not field travel teams at the 8u-12u level.

We provide any interested area community leagues with a platform to present a viable travel program through their community based leagues at these age groups to help meet the stated goals of the community leagues.

We leave it to the coaches and the leagues at the local levels to coordinate their 8u-12u travel team practice, league, and tournament schedules for the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons with the best interests of the players, families, and community league of each group in mind.

We promote this structure by offering a 10-12 week pre-season support system for these teams with the opportunity to utilize top notch indoor facilities and to work with the Aces Coaching Staff in order to enhance the player development and the overall travel baseball experience for the players and coaches on these teams.

The program is coordinated by Dutchess Community College and Taconic Rangers Head Baseball Coach, Al Hammell.

The program is being offered on a first come-first served basis to any interested area 8u-12u community based travel teams/leagues.

Program Details:

- 8-10 Weeks of Sunday Winter Workout Sessions utilizing DCC indoor facilities. (January-February-March)

13U-18U:

The 13u-18u travel teams participating in this program can be teams that are established by area community leagues, area scholastic programs, or independent teams.

The teams in this program will establish their own rosters/coaching staff and will set their own travel schedules for tournament and league play. We leave it to the independent coaches and/or the leagues at the local levels to coordinate their own 13u-16u travel tournament and league schedules for the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons with the best interests of the players, families, local leagues, and scholastic programs of each group in mind.

The Dutchess Baseball Initiative will offer each participating team a training and development support system presenting the opportunity for each team to work directly with the Dutchess Baseball Initiative staff during their winter and spring training seasons while utilizing top notch indoor/outdoor facilities in order to enhance the player development and travel experience for their teams.

The program is coordinated by Dutchess Community College and Taconic Rangers Head Baseball Coach Al Hammell.

Teams will also be offered the ability to play home summer travel league games on the DCC baseball field if interested.

This program is being offered on a first come-first served basis to any interested area 13u-18u teams in need of this structural support.

Program Details:

- 6-9 Weeks of Sunday Winter Workout Sessions utilizing DCC indoor facilities. (January-February-March)

-Summer home games played on DCC Baseball Field. (Optional at extra cost)
