2022 FALL BALL PROGRAM INFORMATION

Open to any area baseball players in Grades 9-12 who are interested in playing COLLEGE BASEBALL and would like to join the TACONIC RANGERS ORGANZATION for the Summer of 2023.

THE SUMMER of 2023 16U North and 17U North TEAM ROSTERS WILL BE SET OUT OF THIS FALL PROGRAM.

 
The TACONIC RANGERS 2022 FALL BALL COLLEGE CAMPUS SHOWCASE AND TRYOUT PROGRAM will be directed by former NY Mets Minor Leaguer and Taconic Rangers North Baseball Program Director, Al Hammell and the Taconic Rangers North Coaching Staff.
 
The TACONIC RANGERS 2022 FALL BALL COLLEGE CAMPUS SHOWCASE AND TRYOUT PROGRAM is designed to offer a flexible/common-sense fall program for players and families during the busy fall season that will get 9th-12th grade players onto regional college campuses to be evaluated by college coaches and to be evaluated for the TACONIC RANGERS NORTH team rosters for the Summer of 2023.
 
The Fall Program will consist of:
  • 5 Sunday Fall College Campus Showcase And Workout Sessions.
  • Optional 5 Saturday Open Baseball Workout Sessions at DCC prior to each Sunday campus session. (Included in cost)
  • Optional 12 Weeknight (Tuesdays-Thursdays) 1-Hour NorthStar Strength and Agility Baseball Specific Training Sessions with professional trainers. (Included in cost)
  • Optional Tournament and Showcase Play on Columbus Day Weekend (Extra Cost-TBD).

-The campus baseball showcase and tryout sessions will last approximately 3.0 hours each Sunday and will be attended by a coach from the school we are attending. We will also be inviting area D2 and D3 coaches this year. Each session will include a player development hitting and fielding workout session and then we will transition to Red/Blue Taconic Rangers game play with pitchers throwing live sets of at bats to hitters with coaches present at the campus being visited.

-The Saturday Open Workout Sessions will last approximately 2.0 hours each Saturday and will include Batting Practice, Fielding Reps, and Bullpen work in preparartion for the Sunday campus workouts.

-Spots in the TACONIC RANGERS 2022 FALL BALL COLLEGE CAMPUS SHOWCASE AND WORKOUT PROGRAM will be limited at each position and will be given out on a first-come/first-served basis once a player is accepted into the fall program. Current Taconic Rangers players will get first opportunity to enroll.

Saturday-Sunday, October 8-9- Optional Northeast College Prospect Showcase Event with college coaches present/2 Day Showcase Event (Invite-Extra Cost-Details TBA) or Alternate Tournament Play (Invite-Extra Cost-Details TBA)
 
Saturday-Sunday, October 15-16- Dutchess CC (With Regional D1, D2, D3 schools invited) Workout Times TBA

Colleges that have been visited in the past for the Campus Showcase and Tryout Program workouts: 

Fairfield University, St. John's University, Siena College, Marist College, Stony Brook University, LeHigh University, Farliegh Dickinson University, Sacred Heart University, Army West Point.

-There will be no partial registrations and no refunds. Make-up dates will be attempted but cannot be gauranteed in the case of inclement weather.
 
-Please understand that your participation in the TACONIC RANGERS 2022 FALL BALL COLLEGE CAMPUS SHOWCASE AND TRYOUT PROGRAM DOES NOT guarantee you a spot on a Summer 2023 Taconic Rangers roster.
 
-For the Fall Program, positional play-time, batting order placement, and innings pitched during the weekly workouts and Red/Blue game play will be based on ability and performance as evaluated by the Taconic Rangers coaching staff.
 
-Please understand that based on staff evaluation, some players may be designated as "Pitcher Only" during the Sunday weekly Red/Blue game play and for tournament event play. These players will still be able to participate in the weekly workouts as a position player if they so choose. We will work to give all players a fair shot at each position and on the mound to show what they can do during the Fall Program.
 
-The player fee for the TACONIC RANGERS 2022 FALL BALL COLLEGE CAMPUS SHOWCASE AND TRYOUT PROGRAM:
  • $850 Per Player
($425 non-refundable deposit due to secure your spot; Final balance will be due before the 1st Fall Sunday Session.)
 
This payment includes:
5 Sunday College Campus Showcase Days; 12 Weeknight Baseball Specific Training Sessions; 5 Saturday Open Baseball Workout Sessions; Rangers jersey, hat, and belt. Players will provide their own gray baseball pants, catcher's gear, and batting helmets.
 
*Please be sure to have read all of the information above and consider all of these factors carefully as you decide whether or not this is the program for you for this fall season. If you have any questions regarding the structure of the program, please call and ask those questions BEFORE committing to the program. Only program credit will be given should any player not participate for ANY reason, no refunds will be issued.
